IACS UR E26/E27

IACS Unified Requirements E26 and E27 are the classification-society technical baseline for ship cyber resilience, applying to vessels contracted for construction on or after 1 July 2024. E26 addresses the resilience of the ship as an integrated system, covering identify, protect, detect, respond, and recover across the onboard networks; E27 sets requirements for the individual computer-based systems and equipment that make up the ship. Together they supply the engineering detail beneath the SMS-level mandate of IMO MSC.428(98).
