JIT Port Call Standard (DCSA/IMO PCO)

The Just-in-Time (JIT) Port Call standard is DCSA’s open data and API specification for exchanging port-call event and timestamp messages so a ship can adjust speed to a confirmed berth availability and avoid idling at anchor. It standardizes events such as estimated and requested times of arrival at the pilot boarding place and berth, building on the IMO and industry Port Call Optimization taskforce work and the FAL.5/Circ.40 reporting data set. Reducing waiting time cuts fuel burn and CO2, supporting CII performance under MARPOL Annex VI.
