Port Call Optimization (PCO) Taskforce

The Port Call Optimization taskforce is an industry group of major shipping lines, ports, terminals, and nautical service providers, supported by IMO and IHO, that standardizes the master data and event timestamps a port call needs so ships can plan just-in-time arrivals. Its work underpins the DCSA JIT Port Call API and aligns port-call data with the IMO Compendium and FAL.5/Circ.40 reporting. Better-sequenced arrivals cut anchorage waiting and idle fuel burn, lowering CO2 and improving CII outcomes under MARPOL Annex VI.
