Maritime trade newspaper, founded 1734.
Daily shipping and maritime-commerce publication tracing its origin to Edward Lloyd’s coffee house in London in 1734, among the oldest continuously running business titles in the world. It reports ship movements, casualties, freight markets, regulation, and trade news. Now part of Lloyd’s List Intelligence, it moved fully digital in 2013. It is editorially and corporately separate from Lloyd’s Register of Ships and from the insurer Lloyd’s of London, despite the shared coffee-house ancestry.
