ORC, Offshore Racing Congress

The Offshore Racing Congress, based in Cologne, administers the ORC family of measurement handicaps used worldwide for offshore and inshore keelboat racing. It maintains the Velocity Prediction Program at the heart of the system, issues ORC International and ORC Club certificates, and runs world and continental ORC championships. The body traces back to the Offshore Racing Council that managed the International Offshore Rule of the 1970s and 1980s before the move to VPP-based rating.
