PG governor

The Woodward PG is a hydraulic-mechanical engine governor line that controls the speed of diesel and gas engines through a flyweight speed sensor and an oil-pressure power piston that positions the fuel rack. The PG name reflects pressure-compensated stabilizing feedback that damps the actuator and prevents hunting. The PGG and similar variants add remote electric speed setting and droop adjustment, making them suited to generator sets where droop shares load between paralleled engines and isochronous mode holds constant frequency on a single set. It is a self-contained governor needing no external control supply.
