Regional Cooperation Agreement on Combating Piracy and Armed Robbery, Singapore-based ISC.
The Information Sharing Centre of the Regional Cooperation Agreement on Combating Piracy and Armed Robbery against Ships in Asia (ReCAAP). ReCAAP entered into force on 4 September 2006 as the first government-to-government agreement on piracy in Asia; its ISC, based in Singapore, was launched in November 2006. The ISC runs a network of national focal points, receives and shares incident reports, issues alerts and weekly and annual reports, and supports capacity building. It is a primary record of piracy and armed robbery in Asian waters, including the Singapore and Malacca Straits.
