The Royal Belgian Shipowners’ Association (RBSA; Dutch/French acronym KBRV) is Belgium’s national shipowner body, founded on 28 October 1909 and based in Antwerp. Almost all owners operating vessels under the Belgian flag are members. It defends the common interests of Belgian-established shipowners and ship managers in international maritime transport, advising members on fiscal, social, environmental, and maritime legislation and representing Belgian shipping before national, EU, and IMO forums. RBSA is a member association of ECSA and the International Chamber of Shipping.
