The Norwegian Shipowners’ Association (Norges Rederiforbund) is Norway’s national employer and interest organization for shipping and offshore companies, founded in 1909 and based in Oslo. It represents owners across deep-sea, offshore, and specialized segments, negotiating on behalf of members and lobbying on tonnage tax, the Norwegian International Ship Register (NIS), seafarer terms, and decarbonization policy. As one of the larger national associations by controlled tonnage, it is a member body of ECSA and the International Chamber of Shipping, and a recognized voice within the Oslo maritime cluster.
