Definition

International Code of Signals letter T, meaning "Keep clear of me; I am engaged in pair trawling."

Letter T of the International Code of Signals means “Keep clear of me; I am engaged in pair trawling.” Tango is a vertical tricolor, red, white, and blue from the hoist. Two fishing vessels towing a single net between them hoist it singly so that passing traffic gives the towed gear and the paired track wide room. It is one of several Code flags whose single-letter meaning is specific to fishing operations.
