X-Yacht Owner's Association
F4. Recreational Boating, Yachting and SportDefinition
Class association.
The X-Yachts Owners Association (XYOA) is the owners’ class association for boats built by X-Yachts, the Danish performance-cruiser yard founded in 1979 at Haderslev by Lars Jeppesen, Niels Jeppesen, and Birger Hansen. The first boat, the X-79, took its name from its 7.9 m length and 1979 launch. The UK-rooted XYOA was set up in 2011 to organize rallies, racing, and social events; it has grown to roughly 150 members across 17 countries, supporting the worldwide X-Yachts fleet.
