National Maritime Museum of Belgium.
Belgium’s national maritime collection in Antwerp, long housed in the Steen, the medieval riverside castle on the Scheldt, and now integrated into the Museum aan de Stroom (MAS), opened 2011. The holdings cover Antwerp’s history as a major North Sea port, Flemish shipbuilding, inland barge traffic, and the Scheldt estuary trade. The MAS displays the maritime collection across its harbor-themed floors alongside historic small craft outside.
