Definition

Australian offshore regatta.

Hamilton Island Race Week is an Australian regatta in the Whitsunday Islands off Queensland, hosted by Hamilton Island Yacht Club and first run in 1984. Held each August, it races keelboats and cruising yachts on courses around the Whitsundays under IRC and other handicap divisions. Audi was the naming sponsor through the early 2010s; later editions carried other title sponsors. It is one of Australia’s larger keelboat regattas by entry.
