Bunker delivery note required under MARPOL Annex VI.
The Bunker Delivery Note, the document the fuel supplier must give the ship at every bunkering under MARPOL Annex VI Regulation 18, recording the fuel’s quantity, density, viscosity, and sulphur content with the supplier’s declaration. The ship must keep the BDN and a representative sealed sample for three years for Port State and flag inspection. The BDN is the front-line evidence of sulphur-cap compliance and the basis for any later fuel-quality claim.
