Coastal Skipper Course

The RYA Coastal Skipper course is the practical and shorebased training that prepares a sailor to skipper a yacht on coastal and offshore passages by day and night. It builds on Day Skipper with advanced pilotage by night, electronic and traditional navigation, passage planning, meteorology, and close-quarters boat handling. Completing it is the normal route to sitting the Yachtmaster Coastal or Yachtmaster Offshore certificate of competence examination once the required seatime is logged.
