Comanche

Comanche is a 100 ft (30.5 m) supermaxi monohull designed by VPLP and Guillaume Verdier, built by Hodgdon Yachts in Maine and launched in 2014 for Jim and Kristy Clark. With a 7.9 m beam she’s nicknamed the Aircraft Carrier. Skippered by Ken Read, she took line honors in the 2015 Rolex Fastnet and Sydney Hobart, set a North Atlantic monohull record in 2016, and held the 24-hour monohull record (618 nm) from July 2015 until 2023. She won the Sydney Hobart again in 2019.
