Daily noon report

The noon report is the standardized daily report sent from ship to operator and charterer at local noon, summarizing the past 24 hours. It states position, distance run, average speed and RPM, main-engine and auxiliary fuel consumption by grade, remaining bunkers (ROB), weather (wind force and sea state on the Beaufort and Douglas scales), slip, and ETA. It is the core data set for monitoring charter-party speed and consumption warranties, for performance claims, and now feeds emissions monitoring under the EU MRV and IMO DCS. Disputed underperformance claims rest heavily on the weather data logged in these reports.
