DNV Cyber Secure

DNV Cyber Secure is a class notation that certifies a ship’s cyber-security barriers against DNV’s rules for ships, Part 6 Chapter 5. It offers tiered profiles: Essential (the baseline), Advanced, and a separate Advanced+ scope, plus the +A qualifier for ships in operation. The notation verifies asset inventory, network segmentation, access control, and incident response across IT and OT systems, and it is one route to satisfying IACS UR E26 for ships contracted for construction on or after 1 July 2024.
