Continental titles in Olympic classes.
European Championships in World Sailing classes are the continental titles contested in Olympic and recognized one-design and offshore classes, run under World Sailing’s racing rules and sanctioned through EUROSAF and the class associations. They award the title of European Champion in each class (for example ILCA, 470, 49er, Nacra 17) and often serve as Olympic continental qualification or ranking events distinct from the World Championships.
