Facilitation Committee, dealing with facilitation of international maritime traffic under the FAL Convention.
The Facilitation Committee handles the simplification of formalities, documentary requirements, and procedures at ships’ arrival, stay, and departure under the FAL Convention. It became a full committee enshrined in the IMO Convention in 2008. Its work includes the standardized FAL forms, single-window electronic data exchange, and measures against stowaways and document fraud.
