The Fireball is a two-person planing dinghy designed by Peter Milne in 1962, 4.93 m (16 ft 2 in) long with a hard-chine scow bow, single trapeze, and symmetric spinnaker. It is a strict one-design with a recognizable flat, beamy hull and a crew working weight around 130 to 150 kg. World Sailing lists it as an International Class with active fleets in the UK, central Europe, Canada, and Australia. The Fireball is not an Olympic class but holds annual world and continental championships.
