GISIS PSC Module

The GISIS port State control module is the IMO database that records PSC inspections and detentions reported by member States and regional MoUs. It gives flag administrations, port States, and the public a view of a ship’s inspection history, including deficiency codes and detention details. PSC officers and targeting systems draw on inspection history when calculating a ship’s risk profile and selecting ships for inspection. The module sits within the wider Global Integrated Shipping Information System and complements the regional MoU databases such as THETIS for the Paris MoU and the Tokyo MoU information system.
