IMCA (International Marine Contractors Association)

The International Marine Contractors Association is the trade body for the offshore construction, diving, marine, and survey industries, and the de facto standards-setter for dynamic positioning and diving operations worldwide. Its guidance documents, such as M 103 for DP vessel design and operation and M 117 for DP operator training and certification, are referenced in charters and class requirements. IMCA competence schemes underpin the certification of DP operators and offshore divers across the sector.
