International Catamaran Challenge Trophy

The trophy of the C-Class Catamaran Championship, nicknamed the Little America’s Cup, first contested in 1961 between British and American C-Class catamarans. C-Class boats are 25 ft (7.6 m) long, 14 ft (4.3 m) wide, two-crew development catamarans limited to 300 sq ft of sail, the platform where the rigid wing sail was pioneered well before the America’s Cup adopted it. The match is sailed as a best-of-seven between a defender and a challenger, modeled on America’s Cup format.
