Laser Radial, ILCA 6

The ILCA 6, long called the Laser Radial, is the women’s single-handed Olympic dinghy and the standard class for lighter sailors and many youth and masters fleets. It shares the ILCA hull and lower-mast fitting but uses a shorter, more flexible radial-cut sail and a shorter bottom mast section, so the rig depowers earlier than the full ILCA 7. The interchangeable rig system on one hull is what gives the class its huge worldwide fleet.
