Maritime Service Portfolio (MSP)

A Maritime Service Portfolio (MSP) is a defined set of operational and technical services delivered in a given sea area to support e-navigation, named in the IMO e-navigation Strategy Implementation Plan (MSC 94, 2014). The framework lists service categories such as VTS information, navigational warnings, MSI, pilotage, tug, and telemedical assistance, each with a responsible provider and a coverage area. MSPs structure how digital navigation and safety services reach ships consistently. IALA developed the operational definitions and the harmonized service descriptions underpinning the MSP concept.
