Liverpool institution covering port and emigration history.

A maritime museum in Liverpool’s Albert Dock, opened 1980 and expanded into its current form, part of National Museums Liverpool. It covers Liverpool’s port history, transatlantic emigration, the Battle of the Atlantic, and the loss of the Titanic and Lusitania, both registered in Liverpool. The building shares the dock with the International Slavery Museum, also part of National Museums Liverpool. The collection includes ship models, archives, and the customs and excise gallery.
