S-100 Universal Hydrographic Data Model

S-100 is the IHO Universal Hydrographic Data Model, the next-generation framework that replaces the older S-57 standard and supports a family of interoperable product specifications, charts, bathymetry, water levels, currents, ice, and navigational warnings, in one geospatial framework aligned with ISO 19100. Its flagship product, the S-101 ENC, will succeed today’s electronic charts. S-100 lets a modern ECDIS overlay tides, surface currents, and under-keel clearance as live data layers rather than static chart features.
