Definition

Museum at the original Harland and Wolff slipway.

A visitor attraction and museum opened 31 March 2012 in the Titanic Quarter of Belfast, Northern Ireland, on the site of the Harland and Wolff shipyard where the RMS Titanic was built and launched on 31 May 1911. The nine-gallery building, beside the original slipways of Titanic and her sister Olympic, traces the ship’s construction, the 15 April 1912 sinking, and Belfast’s shipbuilding industry.
