US national sailing authority.

US Sailing, the United States Sailing Association, is the national governing body for the sport of sailing in the United States, recognized by World Sailing and the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee. It traces to the North American Yacht Racing Union founded in 1897, renamed the United States Yacht Racing Union and then US Sailing in 1991. It selects US Olympic and Paralympic sailors, certifies instructors and race officials, and administers the Racing Rules of Sailing nationally.
