University of Plymouth Maritime Faculty

The maritime teaching and research grouping at the University of Plymouth in Devon, England, home of the School of Marine Science and Engineering, one of the largest of its kind in Europe. Its BSc (Hons) Navigation and Maritime Science is accredited by the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency and the Merchant Navy Training Board; with an added year at sea it leads to the STCW Officer of the Watch certificate of competency. Facilities include a full-mission ship simulator, electronic charts, and a dedicated sail and navigation training vessel.
