Fremantle facility.
A maritime training facility at Fremantle, Western Australia, run by South Metropolitan TAFE (formerly Challenger Institute of Technology, which merged into SM TAFE in 2016). It delivers internationally recognized coastal and ocean seafaring and marine engineering qualifications from the Fremantle campus, which holds an advanced ship-simulator suite, a fleet of eight training vessels, engineering and seamanship workshops, and an aquaculture hatchery. Certificates lead to AMSA-issued domestic certificates of competency and STCW-aligned safety training.
