Olympic windsurfer board 2008 to 2020.
The RS:X is a one-design Olympic windsurfer board built by Neil Pryde, used for the men’s and women’s windsurfing events from Beijing 2008 through Tokyo 2020, with a 2.86 m board and cambered sails of 9.5 square metres (men) and 8.5 square metres (women). It replaced the Mistral One Design and was itself replaced by the foiling iQFoil from Paris 2024. World Sailing administered RS:X as the Olympic board class. It planes in moderate wind and is pumped in light air.
