DCS (IMO Data Collection System)

The IMO Data Collection System has required ships above 5,000 GT to report annual fuel oil consumption, distance traveled, and hours under way to their flag state since 2019, with the data aggregated by the IMO into a fuel-consumption database. It is the global counterpart to the EU MRV scheme and the data source behind the Carbon Intensity Indicator and the AER. The flag state verifies the submission and issues a Statement of Compliance.
