Marblehead, Massachusetts club founded 1870.

The Eastern Yacht Club is a US sailing club at Marblehead, Massachusetts, founded on 5 March 1870 by a group of Boston yachtsmen; within a month it enrolled 110 members and 23 yachts, and opened its present Marblehead clubhouse in 1881. One of the oldest American yacht clubs, it ran early ocean and Marblehead-area racing and remains a center of New England keelboat and one-design competition on Massachusetts Bay.
