F4. Recreational Boating, Yachting and SportDefinition
Frank Bethwaite-designed two-person racing dinghy.
The Tasar is a two-person racing dinghy designed by Frank Bethwaite in 1975, 4.50 m (14 ft 9 in) long with a fully battened, rotating-mast mainsail and self-tacking jib, no spinnaker and no trapeze, and a fixed crew weight band that makes it a strict one-design sailed by mixed and lightweight crews. It is a World Sailing International Class with fleets in Australia, North America, Japan, and the UK. The Tasar is not an Olympic class but holds a world championship.
