Yacht Code (REG LY3/PYC)

An alternate label for the Red Ensign Group Yacht Code, the consolidated flag-state code for large yachts under the British-register Red Ensign Group. Effective from 2019, Part A is the updated Large Yacht Code (LY3) for commercial yachts 24 meters and over in load-line length with up to 12 passengers, and Part B is the Passenger Yacht Code (PYC) for yachts carrying 12 to 36 passengers on international voyages. The code combines roughly 20 years of large-yacht regulation since the MCA’s 1997 Large Yacht Code.
