Operations Manager (Shipping)

The shipping operations manager coordinates the commercial running of voyages from the shore office: voyage instructions, bunkers, port agency, and laytime and demurrage. The role sits in the operations or commercial department of an owner, operator, or charterer and works between the chartering desk and the ship’s master. It is distinct from the technical and crewing functions, focusing on the cargo-earning leg of the business.
